What are Cold Process Soaps?

Soaps made with Cold Process mix oils, lye (sodium hydroxide), and water at room temperature to naturally undergo saponification, a chemical reaction that transforms the ingredients into the shape of a soap over time. It relies on the slow and natural curing of the soap.

Is there lye (sodium hydroxide) in my soap?

No, the cold process soaps do not retain lye in them as all the lye turns into soap during the saponification process. Hence, there is no lye present in our handmade soaps.

Is it safe for all skin types?

Yes, handmade organic soaps are safe to use on all types of skin.

Are handmade soaps safe for kids?

Yes, natural handmade soaps are mild and safe for your child's delicate skin. However, we recommend using them for kids aged 4 years and above and getting a patch test done on your child’s skin first.

Who can use these soaps?

These handmade soaps can be used by everyone with any skin type. They are especially beneficial for people with dry, patchy, and flaky skin. People suffering from eczema and strawberry skin can also use these soaps.

Tea tree essential oils helps reduce blemishes, acne, unclogs pores and soothes dry, itchy skin. The clays in this soap balances pH of the skin, detoxify and hydrates the skin and protect from sun damage. A must-have soap for summer days!

HOW TO USE

Lather up the soap with water in your hands and cleanse. Feel the richness of the butters and oils on your skin, breathe in the aromas. Feel your skin and senses moisturised.

Do a patch test in case you are sensitive to any of the natural ingredients. Keep away from direct sunlight in a cool dry place.

PS - We have become so used to synthetic fragrances that the cold process soap might feel less fragrant when you switch. We use essential oils and phthalate free fragrances only. No additional chemical additive for binding the fragrance has been used. With consistent use, you will start appreciating the mild smell and the fragrance of emulsified oils.

Tea tree oil has a fresh, powerful scent and is renowned for its ability to balance, cleanse and tone troubled, irritated skin. It also helps to break down dirt and oil. It is a natural deodrant, anti-septic, fights acne, fungus and treats atheletic foot.

Glacial Marine Clay

The clay’s high absorption makes it ideal for drawing out impurities and toxins from the skin. Leaves the skin feeling silky and hydrated rather than tight and dry. Microscopic particles of glacial clay adhere to skin pores, emulsifying to remove excess oils and impurities.

Castor Oil

Castor oil moisturises and conditions the skin and hair. It has been used to treat skin conditions since ages. Castor oil is known to help grow hair and make it lush. It is anti-bacterial, mainly due to the presence of ricinoleic acid in the seeds, which is an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial fatty acid.

Cocoa Butter

Moisturizing powerhouse for treating a myriad of beauty concerns from dry skin to stretch marks and scars. Cocoa butter naturally heals chapped skin. Itis high in antioxidants, which help fight off free-radical damage, which can cause skin aging, dark patches, and dullness. It can help reduce stretch marks.

What payment methods can I use?

We offer several payment options that accept credit card, debit card, UPI and we also accept COD orders. Our COD orders follow a double confirmation rule to avoid returns. As these are personal care items, we do not have a return policy. Please note that as we limit the use of unnecessary ingredients or fillers and chemicals, some products might change color with time. Store them in a cool place and away from direct sunlight and they will be good to use till the mentioned shelf life.
