You should smell good, but at what cost?

The perfume industry has always been reclusive. They safeguard their pefume formulas like it the secret if out will make things worse. And that's the fact. To make that formula work the number of chemicals added to the perfume are huge.

While the exact number can vary widely, most conventional perfumes contain 30–100+ synthetic ingredients, many of which fall under vague terms like “fragrance” or “parfum” — a loophole that allows brands to hide dozens of chemicals without listing them individually.

Common chemical/toxic ingredients in mainstream perfumes:

  • Phthalates – hormone disruptors linked to fertility issues

  • Synthetic musks – bio accumulative and toxic to aquatic life

  • Parabens – preservatives that can mimic estrogen

  • Benzyl alcohol, Linalool, Limonene – allergens, skin irritants

  • Petrochemical solvents – like styrene, often linked to headaches and nausea

  • Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate – found in UV blockers, now flagged for endocrine disruption

The kicker? Many of these don’t have to be disclosed — because “fragrance” is considered a trade secret by regulatory bodies (like the FDA in the US).

So we wear hundreds of chemicals on our skin and clothes everyday. And how does it effect us? Well the impact on the environment and our hormones, our skin, our respiratory system and neurological system is enormous. These facts are very well hidden from us and we are sold exorbitantly priced perfumes to boost our ego, to make us feel good. Isn't that doing the opposite if we understood the ingredients?

At the risk of not sounding cynical, perfumes are really harmful for daily use. And once we found out, we really wanted to make something smell great, minus nasties.

We toiled, it's not easy to make  fragrance without alcohol. The essential oils don't act that well without the stabilisers in the perfume when we added the good stuff. But we still stuck to it, tried numerous formulations and came up with the best version for now. You do have to shake it often, and even re-apply as these are not your chemically laden conventional perfumes. These contain only the good stuff, with natural emulisifers so that they don't adversely affect your skin and hair.

Lavender hydrosol and distilled water, with aloe vera juice, green tea extract and hydrolised rice protein make the base of your mist. The essential oils and blended in glycerine, sodium lactate ( read sugar syrup), and an eco emulsifier. And then what comes out are 4 fragrant mists, each to match your mood. Whether you want a serene night time pillow mist, a sunshine like golden glow, something spelndid yet serene or you love the aqua fragrance. We;ve got you covered.

Check out our mists. They will feel different, they are designed to suit your skin, and have a feel good, do good effect. It's new. It's fresh and if you are looking for a safer option. This is it guys!
